All of our Ubiquiti items come with a 2 year commercial warranty. All products are to be delivered to our customer with no known defects.
If a product that you have purchased from Ubiquiti Malta has a defect, or stops working within two years from the date of purchase the following process kicks in.
- Customer informs Ubiquiti Malta through e-mail the following.
- Product purchased which is currently not working
- Purchase date
- Type of issue
- Ubiquiti Malta will then vet the request and contacts back the customer.
- If item was purchased within 2 years, then Ubiquiti Malta collect the item from the customer.
- The item is then tested in our lab, were we try to replicate the issue reported.
- If issue is replicated, then the item is shipped to the manufacturer at no cost.
- Manufacturer, will then test the product and if no damage is noticed, will be replaced.
- A new item is sent back to Ubiquiti Malta from the manufacturer. The new item might be used, but will always be in a good condition.
- Once item is received, it will be delivered to the customer.
This process might take around 3 weeks, depending on shipping. There is no charge to the customer if the item deems to really have a defect.
If the item which the customer is claiming has an issue, results to either be a configuration issue or a non-issue, then Ubiquiti Malta reserves the right to charge the customer 55 EUR if item is discovered as a non-issue in our Malta workshop, or else up to 120 EUR if item is discovered to be a non issue at the manufacturer (due to our shipping costs).
We are unable to provide you with a similar item before the entire process above completes.
Warranty Exclusions
The above warranty does not apply if the Product:
- has been modified and/or altered, or an addition made thereto, except by UBIQUITI, or UBIQUITI’S authorized representatives, or as approved by UBIQUITI in writing;
- has been painted, rebranded or physically modified in any way;
- has been damaged due to errors or defects in cabling;
- has been damaged due to use with non-UBIQUITI products;
- has been damaged due to natural disaster, including but not limited to lightning, flood, tornado, earthquake, heavy rain or hurricane;
- has been damaged due to power surges, improper power supply, electrical current fluctuations, corrosive environment installations, induced vibration, harmonic oscillations or resonance associated with movement of air currents around the Product(s);
- has been subjected to misuse, abuse, improper handling, alterations, modifications or repairs by reseller, customer or third parties, negligence, abnormal physical, electromagnetic or electrical stress, including lightning strikes, or accident;
- has been damaged or impaired as a result of using third party hardware, software or firmware;
- has no original Ubiquiti MAC label, or is missing any other original Ubiquiti label(s), or is manufactured by and carries the brand of a third party that is not UBIQUITI;
- has not been installed, operated or maintained in accordance with normal practice and in conformity with recommendations and published specifications of UBIQUITI;
- has not been properly installed and used at all times in accordance, and in all material respects, with the applicable Product Quick Start Guide and, if applicable, the applicable Product User Guide;
- is a UBIQUITI radio product and has not been professionally installed;
- or the customer has not followed local country regulations, including operation within legal frequency channels, output power Dynamic Frequency Selection requirements; or
- has not been purchased directly from Ubiquiti Malta
